Ordering

Do I have to create an account to make a purchase?

While you are welcome to check out as a guest, we encourage you to create an account when you make a purchase. This will give you the ability to see previous purchases, shipping addresses etc, which can be very helpful when re-ordering items. You can create your account during the checkout process.

How do I update or cancel an order?

Once you finalize your order, it cannot be changed so please make every effort to make sure your order is complete before you submit it.

What Payment Methods Do You Accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.  Credit or Debit cards will work. Our credit card processing is done by Shopify and managed with highest level of security. 

You can also pay with Shop pay or PayPal.

What if I want to speak to someone?

Will I be charged sales tax?

6% sales tax will be added to non-food items shipped to locations in Michigan.

Is there an easy way to find items by brand?

Yes! You can search for specific brands by typing that brand into the search bar.

Can I ship a gift to someone?

We can ship gift purchases anywhere in the U.S. Simply select the items and add them to your cart, proceed to check out and fill in the shipping information for the recipient and your information for the billing.

When the shipping name and address is different from the billing address, we will not include a packing slip or invoice.

Can I order gift cards?

At this time, online gift cards are not available. We are working on adding this feature.

If you have a gift card that was purchased online prior to July of 2025, please call 1-800-826-6841 to place your order.

How do I read the date code on products?

Product dates are typically in one of the following formats

Domestic products: Month/Day/Year
Imported Products: Day/Month/Year

Note: Images of products sometimes have a date code printed on the product. These images are for illustrator purposes only and do not represent best by or produced on dates of the actual products shipped to you.

Occasionally, we do offer clearance pricing on close dated or past dated products. Those items will have the date noted in the description and be reduced in price.

How are returns handled?

Returns on food items are not allowed. Returns on non food items (ie t-shirts) can be made with prior authorization. Always let us know if there is a problem with an item.

Shipping

How long will it take to receive my order?

Orders typically ship the same day or the next day after they are placed. Orders ship from our warehouse in Michigan and transit times are 1-5 business days, depending on shipping method and location. Overnight and 2-day services are available.

During peak times, depending on order volume, orders will ship in 2-4 business days.

During the summer months, we reserve the right to hold orders placed later in the week to ship on Monday. This is to insure they will not sit in a terminal over the weekend.

How do I track my package once it has shipped?

The tracking number is emailed to you when your order is shipped. Keep in mind that information is not updated by the carrier until later in the evening. You can track your order online with UPS or USPS depending on what shipping option you selected for your order.

Should your order appear to be over due for delivery, you can call us at 1.800.826.6841 and we will track the order for you. You can also email us at support@petersgourmetmarket.com and we will replay within 1 business day.

How do I calculate shipping cost for my order?

Select the items you wish to purchase. Once you have entered your billing information, you will see your shipping options. UPS Home delivery is usually the most cost effective and timely method of shipment. Pease review the options and choose what works best for you.

Do you ship outside of the United States?

No, at this time we only ship within the United States.

Where is your retail store located?

Or retail store is located at 4499 Ivanrest Ave SW Grandville MI 49418. The store is in a strip mall on the west side of Ivanrest just south of Rivertown Parkway and Walgreens (across from Aldi).
